UPDATE: Dissertation turned in, so its official!
I successfully defended my dissertation yesterday, Friday, June 6. After I turn in my written dissertation this week, I will have earned a PhD in Genome Sciences. Here is a photo of me during my defense talk, taken by the very proud Ruolan.

Congrats! You look cool as a cucumber up there at the podium. So, we have to call you Doctor now – that will take some getting used to. I hope you can relax a little now. Can’t wait to see you and the fam in IA!
