Amelia’s Tricks

Amelia is almost a year and a half and she is constantly coming up with new tricks. Some of my favorites are the way she likes to dance, even during dinner when she’s sitting in her high chair eating and swaying her head with the music, constantly repeats what we say (up to 3 words), says “I lobe you” to mom, dad, her blanket, pooh… and sings jibberish in a very quiet, sweet voice.

Her favorite past times are being outside, looking for dogs, reading books and eating her “Elmo” crackers. She also recently found a doll that she refuses to go anywhere without.

Today we went to a pumpkin patch and Amelia was just happy as can be out in the rain trying to step into as many puddles as possible. We brought home more mud than pumpkins. Lastly, I thought I could get away with making cookies without her knowing what they were and how delicious they can be. Not a chance. She is currently eating the last crumbs of a chocolate chip cookie after she begged for a “ookie” when she saw them on the counter cooling.

I think the cookie thing is my fault. I did make TWO batches while you were here, remember. I think it is what grammas are supposed to do.

Too cute. She is looking like such a big girl! Did you take her trick or treating? Or are you trying to hide the deliciousness of candy from her as well (child abuse). John enjoyed the Iowa cheerleading costume very much.

We got the cradle in the mail today – I am going to try to put it together this afternoon. Thanks for getting it here. I’ll be sure to hang onto the box so I can ship it back without searching the globe for the correct size box.

Hope all is well is Seattle – love love love to the whole fam!
