We have been trying to transition Amelia from her crib to a twin bed for some time with minimal success. She usually says she wants to sleep in the “Big Girl Bed”, but ultimately cries for her crib. Occasionally she does stick with it, at least for a while. Last night we got her to fall asleep in it and she slept most of the night. However, at 5:15 (AM) we awoke to some light thumping and bumping, the sound of a turning doorknob, and Amelia creeping in our room with her blanket, a purse, and a basket full of her “friends”–stuffed bunnies, dogs, bears, and Baby Emma.
