Almost two…

Amelia has turned into a little girl almost over night it seems. Here are some of the “grown-up” and very fun things she has said to me recently:

As she and I were lying in bed one day she was patting my head and said “Momma, you make me happy. You make me happy on Thursdays.”

Describing her birthday she has said, several times, “May 4th, gonna be two. Want all my friends at my house and a purple cake and purple ice cream.”

We came home today and she wanted the two of us to sit at her little table and have some cake so she got us two cups, apparently with water in them, and two plates that she brushed along the carpet and then present to me as brown chocolate cake – her imagination is definitely well developed! It was delicious.

Tonight when I told her it was time for bed she said she just wanted to snuggle in momma’s bed first. So we crawled in and then she proceeded to ask me if I wanted the music on, did I want the music the “harder” which I took to mean louder(?), did a want Kleenex, a book and on and on as she bounced around the bed absolutely excited and not at all interested in snuggling with tired mom.

Some “Photo Booth” photos of Amelia and Daddy

I took a bunch of photos using the computers little built-in camera. Amelia really got a kick out of it.

Take a look…

Some photos of Amelia at Easter, our yard with the new retaining wall, and Lindsay’s uterus

New photos…

Some new photos have been posted in the Almost Spring 2008 album, so take a look. Most are from our Easter in Eatonville, but there are a few others as well. I also took some photos of the new retaining wall I am building. Here it is:

Also, here is an ultrasound of Lindsay’s uterus. There seems to be something in there:

Amelia likes beer

I was drinking a beer after work, and Amelia was racing around playing. She came up to me and said, “What’s in there daddy?”, pointing to my glass. I told her that it was daddy’s beer, and she asked for a taste. I held the beer out to her and she grabbed it and got a good sip, then smacked her lips a few times, turned around to resume her activities and said as she was running away, “I like beer.”
