Our girls are growing up

Recently Will and I were outside and I went to check on our chickens. As I was walking to their coop I said “Hi chickie-babies” and Will said “I think they are more like women now, or at least young ladies.” He’s right, although we have yet to get an egg!

Room of Tranquility

Amelia was home sick today, poor thing. We had a morning of movies, a popsicle, and just some much needed down time. While Maggie was napping I suggested we sauna for a bit. While we were enjoying the “room of tranquility”, she asked if I saunaed everyday while they were at school. When I laughed and said no she replied “You should, after all the crying Maggie does and you get her to bed, you should sauna for 15 minutes. It’s really relaxing mom.” Let me be the first to say “I LOVE THIS KID!”

Oh Margaret, you’re the best

When I went to get Margaret up from her nap she looked at me and said “you’re my mommy, you’re my friend.”

At her Valentines Day party today she received a couple bottles of bubbles. I told her when it warms up we can blow them outside. After her nap she said “when winter is upside down I will blow my bubbles.” Winter is definitely in full swing meaning it’s right side up, I guess.

King of her Castle

I was just putting Margaret to bed in her newly improved and painted bedroom. As we walked in she said “I love the color. It’s so cozy, like a castle, and you’re like the king.”
